Time needed for digital cameras to store images

The photo can be verified on the liquid crystal display

The digital camera needs some time to convert the image into data and store it in memory, so there is some delay before the shutter can be released again. This may at first seem frustrating, for example, in portrait photography, where you are accustomed to a certain rhythm of rapid-fire exposures. However, this can also be an advantage; you can use the time to communicate with your subject, for example.
